Espn and plenty of other big name outlets running with the Ronaldo to Bayern stories now. FFS.

Remember Rassvet mentioning this a month back.

I knew it, the move made too much sense. The rumors of it are really picking up of late. There are also a few sources denying the reports with the latest from Sport1 saying that Ronaldo and Mendes pushed Bayern for the move but Bayern said no.

Bayern have to shut this rumor down though because it would undermine their stance and negotiating position on Lewandowski if they were seen as lining up Ronaldo to replace him. We'll see if the move gains traction if/when the Lewa transfer happens.

Fake news as per usual.

Bayern Munich director Hasan Salihamidzic says there is no truth in rumours that the club want to sign Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo. (Sky Deutschland)

If he's willing to cut his wages to join a CL club, we should get him in a deal for Frenkie + (they pay 85mil) with United. Lieporta gets his big name signing, el clasico will be entertaining, imagine him scoring vs Madrid at the Bernabeu and Barca can boast of having another GOAT that played for us. He's old, sure, but I think he'd still do fine at La ligas pace.

Todd Boehly met Mendes in Portugal last week and they discussed a possible move of Ronaldo to Chelsea (David Ornstein)

If lewandowski leaves it makes sense for bayern to get Ronaldo. Both goalpoachers except Ronaldo is better and could possibly score more in that league. Also he brings more to the game outside the box than lewandowski. The only reason Ronaldo wants to join bayern anyway is to possibly win the champions league and have a chance at the balon dor and improve his champions league stats

Was better, not anymore.

He won't be scoring as many as Lewandowski has done in recent years, who offers more outside the box? I don't know, different strengths, but Lewandowski is a more natural CF.

Ronaldo a decade ago definitely offered more outside the box with his decent ability to beat a man and score long range with both feet. Not so much the decent dribbling anymore but still scores long distance. And if bayern are putting in half decent crosses you'd imagine Ronaldo would be better in the air even at 37

For the last 3-4 years, Lewy has been better in pretty much every regard. Yes, CR is still an serial threat, but apart from that, doesnt offer much anything. Lewy himself is excellent at headers.
