You're welcome
Marca now put out a tweet implying they only reported on Ronaldo going to Al-Nassr and not of the existence of a Newcastle CL clause, even though their original article claiming so is still online. Clown show.

Can't see why Newcastle would want him for anything more than a backup role. A role that was humiliating for him even at a club like United.

I don't think it's actually a legit clause. This is probably just his way of keeping his name in the media a bit more. As Newcastle continue to do well it'll keep him being mentioned as potentially coming in. Guy is obsessed with being the centre of attention.

Start of a new era.

Actually curious to how he'll do. This is the current table.

They play on Thursday next. Doubt he'll play though. Otherwise the next after that is on the 14th against current second placed team, which surely should involve CR.

Wonder why he didn't directly join Newcastle.

To be honest his reputation here is kinda on the floor, refusing to come on, the interview etc. It was a weekly circus with him and he will not return investment with performances anymore. Newcastle are top 3 and playing well, so no reason to rock the apple cart plus they got Isak and Callum Wilson who scores with regularity.

Once the dust settles and the recent memory of his behaviour has been forgotten will of course be remembered as a great.

Newcastle's owner have been very sensible thus far, signing younger players and trusting Eddie Howe.

Yeah, Eddie Howe underlined his desire to play with younger squad previously.

No idea how the Magpie fans will react to such move. I expect negative one.
