Seems Real Madrid can win CL without this supposed GOAT. In the meantime, Barca, without Messi, is 20 points behind Madrid in the league and knocked in the quarterfinals of the EUROPA LEAGUE by mighty Frankfurt. Levels.

Difference is Ronaldo left when Madrid was on top on the back of a CL 3 peat while Messi left Barcelona for free on the back of 6 years of CL humiliations with the club in financial ruin.

Don't clown around. Ronaldo had those 3 peat CLs because of the great Ballon D'or level quality of a couple his teammates.

Today must be a blow to him and his fanboys to realize that he wasn't the straw that stirred the drink for all those Madrid titles.

Modric won Ballon Dor immediately after he left. Benzema will win this year.

Both Leo and Ronaldo have always had quality players around them. Xavi, Iniesta, Puyol, Toure, Ronaldinho, Henry, Alexis, David Villa, Pedro, Suarez, Neymar, etc... Kaka, Marcelo, Ramos, Di Maria, Xabi Alonso, Ozil, Higuain, Benzema, Bale, Isco, Modric, Kroos, etc... They both have played with A-list players. Leo maybe not so much with his last 2-3 years in Barca and Ronaldo not so much in Juve but from 2008-2018 or so...top top players everywhere.

Messi didn't want to leave but he did play a part in financial issues, while Ronaldo thought he could have done better elsewhere, huge misjudgement from him, he could have added another European cup or 2 to his total and at least another Ballon D'Or.

What this has shown is that those Real Madrid players can get the job done without him and have stayed at the top whilst he has been a non-factor in the Champions League since he left.
