The attacking side of game is not the issue as much as defence.

Carrying Messi and Suarez was too much in forward line off the ball and way they both played as high risk wasnt working anymore and was only going to get worse.

Could argue if Messi had left keeping Suarez would have been better move but two of them together? Long done.

We scored some 2-3 goals more against some bums that Atletico wins against with 1-0. The difference is that they do it consistently while we struggle for a goal in some games. Ask Real, they're in the same situation.
While our defense is shite, it could be a non-factor with a more ruthless attack.

Bumwaite or even Griezmann, don't cover their shitty finishing with the running and defensive contribution.

He frustrated the hell out of me at times but my god did we fuck up letting him go without replacing him. Yes him and Messi cannot co-exist for 90 minutes in the same team but he'd have finished off several of the chances we consistently balls up.

Only Bartomeu-era Barcelona could give our only pure 9 to a direct rival and not have a single replacement lined up. Depay is not the answer either, majority of his goals come from penalties he's no more prolific than Griezzy from open play.

You do realize that they've beat Betis at home with 2-0 while we won against them with 5-2? That's 3 goals difference from only one game. They are on 33, while we are on 37. So it's 4 goals against some bums at home represents the best attack in La Liga. Sound logic - keep pedaling on that one

Barcelona scored between 90 and 100 goals a season, for the past 10 years or more. Atletico scored around 60-70, in the same period. Right now we are on track to just about the same numbers for Atletico, but way lower for us. But you keep telling me what a great attack we have.

We need the fans, in 17-18 or 18-19 we outplayed every oppenent in camp nou. We scored 3/4/5/6 goals while now we struggle to score even 2 goals.

For an ageing Barca that lacks combined movement up front in the attacking part of the game, and intense pressuring when defending,
Suarez2020 is toxic... Maybe Suarez2015 would be good for that, but not Suarez2020.


For a side that plays like current Atleti, where he sits close to the halfway line - when the other 9 players are sitting back to defend deep - with no defensive duties, or when they are trying to unlock a defense by crossing & feeding a main striker - he has that role- then even Suarez2020 is fine...

Suarez is finished for the big teams, against Bayern or Real he was awful as he is slow as fuck and easy to defend but against small teams he is still a top class player. Problem was that he would never accept the bench role in barca so he needed to go.
