Short-term thinking. We would still get hammered by top teams.

Messi and Suarez at their age is no answer to our problems.

and we continued with more short-therm thinking by bringing in some bums that we have to get rid off now.

two seasons of going nowhere, even regressing. and we haven't got a single promising forward to cover this theory that we were thinking long therm.

We aren’t good enough to base our team around beating the best sides at the expense of winning the easier games. We’ve lost pretty much every game against a top team since he left as well.

Think about all those prospects who came through in the past two years. It was worth it. We are moving forward, not staying in the past.

I don't want to see Pique/Messi/Suarez/Lenglet/Umtiti/Robert anywhere near this team. I want to see these kids develop and become a great team. I have no interest in staying in the past and saying the long-term is better with them..

You are just admitting loss later keeping way past their prime players!!

neither messi or suarez were hampering the development of our players. suarez even suggested we get darwin nunez as an option for his replacement.

the only forward that emerged from the youth ranks is fati and he could have played alongside messi and suarez without any issues.

messi and suarez in the team doesn't means gavi or nico don't get games. what kind of fucked up theory is that?

nah, we just admitted we have no clue and got aguero, depay and LDJ as replacements. with bumwaite as another option.

i repeat - we haven't developed one single forward since suarez left. attack is worse than ever.

That's not how a project should be managed, you HAVE to keep continuity.

You can't just keep trying blindly until you find something.

This is not a team where you try 500 juniors, you do that elsewhere if they don't prove themselves in the likes of Bromwich then don't come back.

Do that in any other area than sports and you close the door of the company by the weekend.

we didn't even try with youth, let's be real here. we had fati since valverde promoted him and that's it.

in this time we bought the following failures - braithwaite, depay, aguero, LDJ and trincao.

aside from trincao, who wasn't a replacement for suarez or messi, we haven't done anything that points to progress or integration of youth into our attack.

but we have the same people screaming again and again how we had to move on from suarez and messi in order to give youth a chance and progress as a team.

Yes Suarez should have been faded by early or mid 2021 if this was managed well.

People screaming 50% of the team should be replaced in one swipe, can't manage a grandma bakery let alone 25-30 people.

Letting Suarez go was correct decision and goals last season barely impacted at all compared to season before with him there.

The Barca defence wasnt good enough last season and if anything Suarez just makes that worse and is another set of old legs that cant run.

This season it is more about Messi/Griezmann going and that taking out close to 100 goals/assists from the side.

If they knew those two were to go then Suarez would be better off at club but even then wouldnt solve much right now when teams can play high line due to no pace in Barca front three.

you've brought up this argument countless times. but not once you mentioned about him having a knee surgery mid-season, barca changing coaches in january and the COVID break.

https://www.transfermarkt.com/luis-...18&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=

he missed all copa games that season and 10 liga games.

so kind of harsh to compare 19/20 to 20/21 and say that attack produced the same. even more so when suarez could have killed off some of those draws we had last season against lesser teams. or the fact that messi thrived even more with suarez in front of him.

Just posted on insta a lovely message about Barca.

Would have taken a 50% pay cut if we asked

Loves the club, fuck you Koeman and Setien for this mess

What did Setien do? Thought you would write Koeman and Bartomeu, but you have a very strange view about him I remember.
