Good game.
Class on ball as almost always is.
No CF to play up against but for a 3rd/4th choice CB Garcia is more than good enough particularly when consider his salary... just needs to learn his limitations a bit at times.

Hiss passing and playmaking for a center back is probably best i ever seen. Better than peak Pique imo. Hope he improves his defensive side and doesn't make so many gaffes as previously.
Can see us going with Alpha-Eric-Kounde-Araujo for alot of games first half of season.
Xavi may think with JKounde and Araujo that they can swap in game if we need better possession out of the FB.
While Christensen has his mental issues, and we all know how we don't manage those well in Barcelona. Then there is Pique who once he sorts out his personal issues and gets match fit would probably replace Eric for his usual 10 week stint of greatness in January until mid March.
Xavi may think with JKounde and Araujo that they can swap in game if we need better possession out of the FB.

For some reason, it seems to me that the only player who can replace Busquets is Garcia.

He makes a lot of dumb mistakes. Last season especially.

Dumb mistakes in defense don't mean he isn't smart with the ball. His passing and conducting ability is the best I've seen in recent years from CBs.

Yah that's true. He is smart in some, but defensive errors be made were awful. Giving away easy penalties for example.

It was said that Xavi tried it in training, and it seems like it went South that Xavi had to dismiss it and even tried to downplay it in press.
Also, defenders in general need less positional and scanning awareness than of midfielder especially DM. Would say that a DM need a 360 awareness while CB 180
That for me is one reason a guy like Roberto was better as FB than a midfielder
