Casemiro

McTominay improved since Case's signing. The fact that they won against both Liverpool and Arsenal with him on the pitch proves he's not totally worthless.

There really was no reason for EtH to change as long as they were winning. But now he'll probably think about making some changes to his usual gala XI.

It's clear where things stand. Ten Hag wants a deep lying midfielder capable of driving the ball forward like De Jong; McTominay is the wish version of that (it's also why he attempted Fred in the same position earlier in the season). Casemiro, with all his quality, isn't that. So he persists with McTominay. That's it.

Just because they won those games doesn't mean Mctominay was good - he wasn't. He's a terrible passer of the ball, has terrible positional awareness, hides away from the ball, and is terrible at retaining possession. His only good attribute is fouling people.

Do you know why the games you listed worked for Ten Hag? Because he gave up on possession and positional play and focused on counters; he bypassed the midfield.

The situation with Mctominay and Casemiro has nothing to do with Mctominay being good, Ten Hag is just stubborn and refuses to change his preferences. Guarantee you if it was De Jong he'd be starting immediately from day 1, regardless of form or adaptation. Just like Antony.

Nah, Case can do the job as well as anyone they have. New team, new country. He's not great at it, but does it often enough with Brazil as Fred goes upfield (Eriksen can do that in a double pivot with him).
Will probably start come spring, especially if they cant repeat these little consistency stints from September

No. Already shown to be very important for them and they do much better with him than without.

And already bailed them out a few times. I watch every game.

Not arguing against him being better than without. Low bar though considering they didnt have a quality DM for who knows how long
How's he done vs City, Liverpool, Arsenal etc
That + no CL means still lots for him to prove before any judgement will come from me

Well, that's you. And you putting high expectations being Madridista and all makes sense. In any case you'd want to be convinced that you did well selling him off instead of keeping.

But could already sense people were on fence on calling this transfer a turd cause they want to see Man U fail.

Ten Hag easing Casemiro in was read as him being behind other MF's. Perez masterclass, already has his best years behind him, cleaned Man U out yadayada.

I dont think we did well selling him regardless, was against letting him leave.
Dont think was a Perez masterclass either even if got a good fee.
Still on the fence him being a success. They played mostly lower-to-midtable sides. He's doing better for them than Varane, granted, but not convinced he'll fit as well as suggested.
