You guys are so disrespectful .
You really think it is acceptable to slag off one of our true legendary players ?

We won 6:0 in the Gamper yet some were celebrating when Busqs made ONE mistake in the game .. it is just weird ,

I do not know any other fans who routinely slag off their great players .

The only thing that is disrespectful are Busis CL performances.

He was great, but not anymore, now he is the teams biggest liability. There is a reason why the opposition teams always target him, and he is at the center of every humiliation. No serious team would even have a player like him as a sub, let alone as a starter.

Look at the best clubs in the CL these past 7 years, none of them has a player like Busi, because players like him are obsolete in modern football. He is a relic of the past, like the number 10 role is.

It is only a few of you in here who are on his case - there is none of this nonsense in the other Barca forums . He is still widely respected by the other teams fans as well .. along with all the pundits and ex players plus Xavi and LE of course

Of course he is widely respected he's an all-time great midfielder, but that doesn't mean he's suited for high paced football anymore. He'll do a good job when the intensity is low in some La Liga games, but the moment the game is either open or the intensity is turned up a few notches he struggles.

This is something most people, Barca fans or non-Barca fans acknowledge.

And no, you cannot get players to run for him. It doesn't work that way.

When was the last time a midfielder had his teammates "run for him" in a successful way in CL ?
I would say Pirlo in 2015 was the last one, well probably the only one in recent memory too.
And even then, he had a system with 4 midfielders including Marchisio, Vidal & Pogba.
There is no such system in Barcelona atm, and every year he gets more exposed.
Seems he himself is more aware of it judging by recent news

Busquets has NO intention of renewing his contract with Bar?a, as he wants to join MLS next year. Inter Miami being the most likely destination. People close to him say that had it not been for the Qatar WC, he would?ve already left Bar?a this year. [@ffpolo] #fcblive

The guys in here are simply ridiculous as regards Busqs , though

They are simply watching his every move and highlighting the odd bad pass or time he gets dispossessed ( as happened the other night ) whilst totally discounting all his link up play , his pressing , his tackles , his first time passes allowing us to break away etc etc

lol... yes his slow motion pressing that totally leaves him out of position and unable to recover.

If true, not a good idea to have an undisputed starter who is mentally checked out of elite level football.

What's going to happen after the World Cup is over? Is Busquets going to go in the trenches pressing, training, sleeping, eating for us?

He'll take up a career as a professional orchestra conductor where he can show his specialist pointing and gesticulating skills. He's already practised every counter attack we've faced for the last year.

He's the best midfielder on the team in terms of tackles, interceptions, pressing moves and ball returns, but these idiots keep saying he's bad defensively.

And in addition to these advantages, his contribution to the attacking actions of the team is simply incredible.
