Busquets would be destroyed in BPL.

So Casemiro and Tchouameni are trash now because they don't play for the arguably best two teams around, that happen to play in the EPL.

And of course prime Rodri playing under Guardiola, in one of the best EPL teams ever is better than nearly retired Busquets.

No. Never said these things. Never said any player not playing currently in BPL will get destroyed once they move to there.

Taking strawman arguments to new levels there.

Saying Busi would get destroyed in EPL is not the same as saying any midfielder not playing there is 'trash'.

He is an idiot for staying this long. Instead of noticing when his time was up and leave like a true legend , he's now had most of the fans turn on him an consider him a piece of shit.

Ten years ago people were talking about him being considered the best dm of all time in the future .

Man he was something else in his prime.

Busquet's level always relied heavily on Xavi and Iniesta. He had hard working wingers, fullbacks and two of the best CMs EVER pressing 90 minutes a game and holding 70% possession. He always had the same weaknesses, but our team shielded him from himself.

Xavi or Iniesta could of gone to a top team at that time and thrived. I think Busquets out of that situation would of been exposed, not only if he moved to the EPL, but even if he stayed in Spain and moved to a triple CL winning Real Madrid side.

He was already declining heavily when Iniesta and Xavi were getting older, and he's been shit since they've been gone. Some will argue, but every time we've gotten spanked by a top side they were exposing him all game long.

Should he have just said "Mr. President, i know the coach plays me every game but i think i'm a piece of shit and should leave the club"?

That's twisted. Busquets just turns 34 this summer, not like he's in 40s or something (even though he plays like it  ). Don't think any player would do something like this, if the club and coach tell him he's important.

It's not the players responsibility to replace themselves, it's the clubs fault to never seriously force a replacement/competition and the coaches playing him every single minute.

Some high praise indeed

Riquelme: "Busquets confused world football. He is the only '10' playing as a '5.' We forgot that in that position, they were there to defend, to stick between the centre backs. We now expect every '5' to have great passing, and '10s' are forgotten. There is only one Busquets."

Xavi liked and commented on the Insta post that had the news

Why aren't people trashing Luis Enrique for basically starting with Busi at the NT too?

Didn't this guy play all games at the Euro last summer or something?

And contrary to Xavi, Enrique has fecking Rodri on the bench, the best DM in the world next to Fabinho.

Coz Rodri played like a mutt in the Euro and last season for City. Stepped up this one though. Probably because he spent the summer learning from Busi.
