We on the other hand lost Xavi, Iniesta and then replaced them with dross. So until FDJ came to help a bit and Pedri burst on to the scene we started relying on Busquets doing the playmaking more than he should from his position. We also had Messi who had telepathic understanding with Busi, but gap in quality of midfield was sorely lacking.

Busquets did a good job at the Euros and in that final 4 of the Nations League. But Spain is build different and was/is a better team overall than ours is right now.

Rodri is not even close to half of Busi's playmaking ability.

Rakitic was a loyal servant and pretty good one until he sold his soul for the world cup 18. He had played that year close to 70 games if im not mistaken, worn out, a total shitshow after that. But he's gone, unlike ancient one. Fucking snail wont admit that he fucking sucks, and its going to be a tragedy when we sell fdj to accomodate this fucker, and in next year or two we'd need to splash 70,80 m on some mf yet again. I have no problem with him staying and playing here and there, but i dont want to see his name on starting 11 in important matches anymore, fuck that.

You are arguing with someone who claimed Busquets was worldclass two weeks a ago v Celta... when he didnt even play.

Of that I'm sure. Was talking about a similar player in style to Busquets.

People like to bitch and moan but all coaches put Busquets as a starter. Be it club or country.

Unfortunately he hasn't got the age for such a large number of games and midfield partners are not great either. Or let's say that his midfield partners lack chemistry between them and some knowledge of how Barca midfielders usually play.

Humiliated in europe every year since 2011 and guy survives as central man team is built on tactically at 34.

Barca are a not even a laughing stock any more they are starting to become an irrelevance.
