The contract extension offered by the club was simply to spread out the salary he has over three years instead of one year. The terms offered by the club still had both parties having an exit clause for next summer.
He's gone next year regardless of how they structure it, if they do a deal at all. Unless Busquets ofc has a big change of heart.

These pay-cuts offered from the board won't help but extend the agony. Look what happened with Samuel Umtiti. He agreed to lower his salary to 6.250,000 million a year, but instead be gone next summer now we will have to deal with him till June 2026.We don't want that happen to any other Barcelona player. There is just one player (J.Kounde) who is not yet registered. If we sell FDJ, Depay and loan-out Braithwaite and Pjanic we will have enough salary room to sign not only Kounde but several more.
Activating 4 levers to accumulate 1.250 billion was not a bad idea, but if we fail to sell/loan some of our players, we will have a lot of problems down the road.

All our breakaways stem from Busquets .. it is not his fault that we have wasted so many chances
like Pedri can not make break away passes.
Not faulting him for waste chances. Just too slow for duels and defense.

Simply cannot play football anymore. In the attacking phase he waits for the slightest bit of contact to go to ground. In the defensive phase is constantly dragging players down. Both due to lack of mobility.

Its diabolical that he is still an everyday starter at Barca. Build a midfield without him.
