Not specific to Grealish but British players in general. Off course there have been great British players like Souness, Gascoigne, Linekar, Shearer, Hoddle, Waddle, Lampard etc but in general British players are overrated.

Exactly and then we wonder after every international competition why they "underperform", even though they just get overrated because Premier League hype and the amounts of money they blow on players like Maguire.

Expensive, yes, but when you are Manchester City, you can only do luxury signings at this point. He has already bought all the defenders (CB and fullbacks) he could. Now, he just needs to polish his attacking players with Kane soon and the team is complete.
Imo, this year is their year.

The word here is that it was guaranteed he would stay one more season, but perhaps being around the England camp has swayed his feelings.
Okay, just seen the sources for this are Talksport and The Sun. Can breathe a sigh of relief for a while. Christian Purslow did tell the fan group committee only yesterday he wasn't leaving this year.
