Jose Luis Gaya

I'm all for replacing Alba but in what world do people believe he's getting dropped for a player who isn't significantly better?

Alba from 2015 >>> Gaya but Gaya > Alba 2022. Alba is getting worse and worse. He is almost 33y old and injury prone. Having a 27y old Gaya in the squad would definitely be a good thing. His contract expires in 2023 so we might get him next summer. He is not a world class LB but there is no way we can afford one right now. He and Azpilicueta would undoubtedly improve our team and could provide so much needed depth.

No brainer. He fits in to the age bracket that we need to be8ng into the team too at utility positions too.

Very Alemany to go for the opportunities of Spanish talent.

Good point. We don't have too many players at the prime age. Mostly over or under. Great team have young, prime and few pasts it's for the experience.

Most reliable Valencia reporter said we’ve told him we want to sign him upcoming summer.

Was reported last summer and in recent days that Alemany want to sell Alba.

If the club believes in Balde and that he can be our starting LB in the future then someone like Gaya at that age is perfect imo. Even if Balde leaves it gives them time to scout the right player eventually. Market for FBs isn't very good. They're a very tough evaluation too.
