Salah is best in world by far this season so far and maybe this year overall but wont even come close on ballondor.

Didnt win anything or come close and not a Messi/Ronaldo name where a great individual year is enough.

Salah won't and shouldn't get it this year.

If wins AFCON and holds the form to help Liverpool win the title, no complaints and would be very keen to see how performances would translate to Qatar WC next winter should Egypt make it there.

Can't see it, he is in shitty form with NT and there are far better teams like Algeria

It was a joke. Don't you remember in 2013 when Ronaldo scored the hat-trick against Sweden, and the voting got extended.

got it now. yeah, don't know if that swayed voters to go for cristiano. maybe the only time ballon voting was influenced by what happened in the months prior to the award?

Yeah so he will be in consideration for next year's balloon dor. He will win if they win pl/ucl. I doubt they will win either.

And I also doubt Salah keeps this up.

Too much is being made about this. By the way this situation is talked about I would have thought his contract expires in Summer 2022, but it's only 2023.

Other than some team trying to bid for him in order to get a better price, why would anyone care when there are still 2 seasons to go until he's a free agent?

his agent laughed at Klopp's comments about us doing everything to keep him at the club.

Which clubs can realistically sign him? PSG? Barca?

Thoughts ??

Bombshell
BOMBSHELL by Fab Romano:

Renewal negotiations are stalled since December.
Salah and his agent not accepting Liverpool's offer.
Klopp's press conference insinuated that the club will not raise their offer.

Then, Fab also gave two crucial pieces of info:
1) Salah is "not in a hurry" to leave this summer
2) Salah does NOT want to play outside EPL at this point of his career.

The picture is becoming clear: FSG are not gonna pay the ludicrous amount of money he wants (Fab said wage structure is a value for FSG),
he is gonna wait to leave as a free agent in 2023 to another top EPL club and become the new Figo (the new money traitor).
I can only see UTD or Chelsea (with the new owner) as potential destinations, given that City might get Haaland

PS: Can you blame FSG for not wanting to bend their wage structure?
for wanting every of their player to feel respected?
For not wanting to overpay someone after decline has started?
Not at all...

Oh, which is by the way exactly what Laporta intends to do with Haaland: bend the wage structure that only got normalized just this season
