He was poor? Nothing new really. Beside his few good and solid perofrmances, specially in his first season he's been pretty much average to poor for Barca.

Because we simply need backup. If we sell Vermaelen than we have 4 CBs. It's simple, we need him.

If we sold Mathieu and Vermalen, we'd have Pique, Masche, Umtiti, Marlon as CBs and we also have Tarin in B. I'd say it looks decent enough, specially considering what Marlon's been showing us so far. But Mathieu usually doesn't play like shit so I think todays fuck ups were more about the differences in mindsets. For us it was just another preseason game and for them it was like the final of the "please don't smack me in the head Jürgen".

He really didn't have a great preseason so far.

He gotten better once Pique got on but other than that he's been really bad.

Ye Pique, Masche, Umtiti, Marlon should be our 4 CBs. Mathieu is way past it.
