Kevin De Bruyne

Both incredible players, Sneijder perhaps had the potential to surpass him but didn?t commit to his career perhaps as he should.

De Bruyne?s only thorn is that he?s generally been a bit underwhelming in the CL after the QF whereas Sneijder had the immortal 2010 year.

KDB is known to go missing in the BIG games .. fact

This guy is magic, would've had more than a hat-trick of assists today if Haaland's finishing boot was on today. Already has 9 assists in 9 games

I'm going to be controversial now, but over the last 18 months he's largely been very underwhelming and at times poor. But ends up pulling off a great assist or goal to salvage things and cloud the judgement from the rest of the performance.

Absolutely true. He has become a bit of a ?moments? player. Couple of years ago at City and in his Wolfsburg days he was truly running the show in the attacking midfield.

KDB doesnt dissapear in CL to any huge extent.

Has been good in ties they go out in for most part. Not his fault when defence combusts against Real last season etc.

2018 was the moment for winning a wc, with this hazard belgium win nothing. It still hurt that we loss against this team last year, we were much much better *cry* soul24rage

Yeah that's been the case most of the time. Modern Football Fandom is a bit like that. When a team loses all the blame falls on the star player on social media and vice versa.

Deeper than surface level analysis isn't this reactionary generation's cup of tea.

Football fans are kinda tribal and Neanderthal. I don't understand the extreme emphasis on team trophies when comparing two individuals. It should hold weight obviously but can't be the only factor you go on and on about.

IIRC they were the better team against France easily in 2018 but lost due to a jammy and lucky goal. They'd have won that WC if they deservingly won that game. Fine margins and shit.

That game bewteen France and Belgium was not dominated by Belgies.

The QF that Belgium put out Brazil.. was dominated for most part by Brazil however.

If anything Belgium over achieved and were 'lucky' to beat Brazil and then were beaten by better team in France.

He wasn't overrated but he's not what he was, gives the ball away so much now.

Like I said a few posts above, he can be utter dogshit for 89 minutes and then pulls of a sublime goal or assist and the wool is pulled over peoples eyes regarding his performance/impact.
