Umtiti back to full fitness would be the best that could happen to Barca's defensive woes given that the club has no money to buy a quality defender. Big Sam was a beast in his (Barca) prime and him and Araujo could form a physically threatening central defence. However, I fail to believe Umtiti could be anything close to his prime. There were reports early 2021 that he is in an impressive physical state too. We all know how it ended. Muscular? Yes. Quick? No way.

We might get an impression on his state against RBS tomorrow. They'll be more demanding for the defenders than previous opponents were.

Umtiti back in top shape would be fantastic and fix a huge problem, but highly unlikely that'll ever gonna happen again.

If you look at his IG, the guy is in top shape but his leg is shot. He can't run. Like serghei said old Soldado was running past him no problem.

Even his body is fitter than ever, problem is his legs.
Let's see how he deal with RB and Juventus (even these are friendly games).

None of this makes sense. Nobody's selling fit Umtiti.
