    That's a fair and reasonable argument. I do take into account that the game has changed so much, that doing comparisons across generations is futile. If you have a preference for more recent players or strikers, that is understandable.

    I do believe Maradona is a legitimate contender to him. The only one. I'd also find it reasonable if someone still preferred Pele to both, though I'd disagree. But I know most consider Messi the number 1 now. I do too but maybe there's some nostalgia for me with Diego.
