    Rafinha Alcantara

There's no reason why Halilovic won't be able to defend to the degree of what is expected of an average winger. He's doing it right now at Las Palmas. I agree that Rafinha is a fighter and that it he has actually won us a few important goals by interceptions and tackles this season. It makes...

    Rafinha Alcantara

If we go forwards with Leo as a 10 and we don't spend big money on a winger, I would honestly much rather have Halilovic out there on the wing than Rafinha. Halilovic, if instructed correctly, would be able to do exactly what Rafinha is doing right now. Receiving it under moderate pressure...

    10 - Lionel Messi - v5

That's a fair point, but the thing convincing me of otherwise is the fact that showed the same tendency around 13/14. So what changed? It certainly wasn't physical when he was able to raise his workrate to what he did in 14/15. And another thing is that his drop off this season has been way to...

    10 - Lionel Messi - v5

    Oh okay, sorry then haha

    10 - Lionel Messi - v5

Fair enough, but I never said any such thing if that is what you're talking about.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v5

What? Bad performance and bad mentality is not the same. It's possible to fight and still play badly just as it is possible to stroll nonchalantly around for 90 mins and picking out passes we don't even see from the TV. Messi has been our most important player this season, but he's been very...

    10 - Lionel Messi - v5

If it was just a bad performance with things not quite working out for him, then fuck it. It's about mentality and responsibility to show spirit when being a leader.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v5

That's fair enough since it's a incredibly difficult to make a cerebral comparison of players from different eras. Nobody is storming any shit.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v5

Oh come on. The contrast between his effort now and what the work he put in in nearly every game between summer '14 and his injury in fall '15 is too damn high to be attributed to physique. It's mentality 100%. If it was fatigue then he would allocate his energy differently, less pressure runs...

    10 - Lionel Messi - v5

Inexcusable effort form him. So fucking frustrating. If he doesn't want to play, what's he doing on? Obviously I want him to play, but if he isn't motivated he could go back to Newell's or retire and we could start a new era which we eventually will need to anyway.

Lliga | Round 27: Deportivo de La Coruña - FC Barcelona 2-1

I don't think we produced a single attack ending in a good chance that shouldn't have been called offside.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v5

Honestly quite worried about him. Judging by his celebration after the 6-1, he's clearly still very passionate, but anyone can see that there's something missing. He was marked heavily but didn't do anything about it either. Copa final two years ago he was marked much tighter and he kept running...

    Luis Enrique

Not entirely convinced about the defensive dimension to our 3-4-3. We don't have a Kante and our players sure as hell ain't gonna run as they did against PSG every match. I think we should keep playing it though and see what patterns our midfield and Messi start picking up along the way.

    Penal Madrid

What's your collective ranking of midfielders (and other players who can play in midfield) in Barca and Real on current performance to illustrate our relative level to them? Mine: Modric Kroos James Kovacic Isco Busquets Iniesta Mascherano Asensio Denis Rakitic Sergi Roberto Rafinha...

    Jordi Mboula

Because he has no composure or ball control. I don't know, maybe he could become a Gabigol type of talent if he keeps it up. It's just not the same going past defenders in that age as professional players. What makes him stand out right now, I don't see it being worth much in the future.

    Jordi Mboula

Obviously this guy will never make it, but oh my what a goal

    Luis Enrique

The Valencia 7-0 was the prettiest performance of ours, but it seems like cheating.
  18. BusiTheKing

    André Gomes

One of his better performances. I generally agree with people that he isn't a good fit for Barca, as he will never function well in tight spaces or turn with the ball and distribute forwards under pressure. Defensively, he's very clumsy. Positioning isn't great, opponents get past him too easily...

    Luis Enrique

Has anyone else been playing with the thought of what Joachim Löw would do with his 4-2-3-1 at Barca? Something like this: -------------------Suarez/Paco----------------- Neymar/Denis-------Messi--------Dembele/Dybala -----------------Busi--------Samper/Sergi Berto...

    André Gomes

The thing that annoys me the most (besides that he isn't capable of playing an unpredictable pass) is that he isn't even that good defensively, which would seem as one of his redeemable traits. I've seen players get past him way too easily. Samper is much better at holding opponents at bay.
