    Frenkie de Jong

Getting rid of our only midfielder that is up to modern physical standards? Great idea. Fucking Busquets - Pedri - Gavi, the heroes of Frankfurt starting all of next season, jesus christ.

    Memphis Depay

Seems capable of something whereas Aubameyang seems capable of nothing

    Sergio Busquets

been a big critic of his these past years but I have to admit, he's improved immensely on his physical deficits. he looks waaay lighter on his feet than he used to. covers more ground defensively, is much more available as an achor.

    Xavi Hernández

One thing that surprises me is how we still pretty much refuse to attack with through balls and slicing runs. We make these hail mary passes, typically from the central defenders to the striker or midfielder making a deep run, but it's not the same thing. Those are fine to push back the...

    Frenkie de Jong

still better than Pedri but didn't look healthy at all. atrocious marking on the third goal. him and Dest share that one.

    Xavi Hernández

So we've stopped pushing again. Sevilla, Frankfurt and Levante all had worrying signs of protagonist syndrome. It's always been the intrinsic hazard of possession football, this mentality that if you have the ball and handle it smartly and sensibly, then things will work themselves out...

    8 - Pedri

i think i've said something to this effect after nearly every high intensity game he's played. fucking look at him play. a gem when we've got control but a puny panting little brother when we don't.

    Ousmane Dembélé

Hasn't really found the balance yet. These days I want him to dribble more, to go for the extra more often. He seems a bit subdued. Maybe trying to avoid injury.

    8 - Pedri

He did what he could but it honestly looks like he's running at 80% to keep up with opponents in basic 40% movement around the pitch. Every time there's a slight acceleration from his marking, he has to drop his head and really dig deep to keep up. I don't think you can say he had a bad game...

    Pablo Torre

seems much more rounded, perhaps not as quick

    8 - Pedri

every fan group romantisizes their talents, especially if they seem to embody the ideals of their club. with Pedri it does get a bit ridiculous. he's definitely special, i'm not saying he isn't. there's a certain dimension of his game that is very precocious, very finely tuned, very high level...

    Pablo Torre

capable, intuitive, inquisitive. knows where his feet are. could be very interesting.

lol settle down this is embarrassing

    8 - Pedri

The sloppy and reckless dribbles in the centre is expected now and then of a 19 y/o. Going missing for the first 30 minutes of the game was more worrying perhaps. Otherwise good, sensible, direct distribution and a nice goal.
  15. BusiTheKing

    Xavi Hernández

Can't remember ever seeing him so emotional as a player as he is on the sideline. Both the way he celebrate Pedri's goal and his conduct with the ref. Funny how it gets you differently when you can't be on the pitch yourself.
  16. BusiTheKing

    Pablo Torre

Where does he play for Racing?
  17. BusiTheKing

    8 - Pedri

because it hinges on unclear assumptions and semantics. what is the definition of 'world class'? on what series of performances is the assessment of what teams he'd start for based on?
  18. BusiTheKing

    8 - Pedri

Weird discussion. If he plays consistently like he did yesterday, he probably starts for (pretty much) any team. If he plays consistently like he did against Espanyol or Alaves, he doesn't start for any top team in Europe. There are very promising signs but you have to prove it consistently...

    8 - Pedri

Yes but one third more is still very different from 2,5 times more. Which is my point. There are other factors.

Maybe I'm not familiar with your mathematical logic but even if you're taking the numbers that include Iniesta on the wing, the ratio (110/78=1,4) is pretty different from 92/36=2,5.
