    20 - Dani Olmo

I read somewhere it is 20 July. You might be right though.

    Copa América 2024

True, I wanna watch. Let's hope my stamina is better than Rasmus Hojlund's.

    Copa América 2024

Thanks, I might. I am bad for sleeping through alarm at times though. I will see if I can manage. In a way you are lucky with it, as the Copa is your prime time and the Euro your afternoon.

Fair enough. It sounds like he still had his victories then, I do know he beat Federer on grass in 2008 at Wimbledon in an amazing match. Like I say I have surface (no pun intended) level knowledge of tennis. I wish I'd have watched it when they were all in their heyday. Now they're all...

Nadal - peak Federer - style and mastery and artistry Djoko - stats and achievements it sounds like.

Does it count against Nadal that he's significantly stronger on clay than any other surface? Or is it a case of he's still great on other ones, just a master of clay?

Is he past it then? I know he's about 37.

As someone who doesn't watch much tennis I much prefer Federer (and Nadal) to Djokovic. They seem to play more aesthetic tennis. In my head I have sort of characterised Federer as Messi's analogue and Djokovic as Ronaldo's, style wise. Might be irrational but ah well.

So what is the reason Novak is getting demolished? He lost to this guy last year too, right? Djokovic is a top three player ever, right? Is it really as simple as he's very old and well past his peak, and this is the classic tale of a much younger guy superseding an older guy?

    Copa América 2024

I have been awake since 4 am after sleeping at 8.30 pm Saturday night. No nap for me - I am worried I will sleep through and miss the Euro final lol. Anyway, it is 3.25 pm now and I have to stay awake another 12 hours to see both Euro and Copa. It will mean I will have been awake approx 24 hours...

    Copa América 2024

True mate, ads and all the stoppages bollocks that go on in NFL put me off watching it. I tried watching it a few years ago on a recommendation, and it actually was exciting when gameplay was going on, but there were so many stoppages, ad breaks, commercial bollocks. It's the same when I watched...

Looking forward to watching him and the other kids as they come through (not just at Barca, the next generation in general).

    Euro 2024

Yeah I agree, Spain look stronger from the start, so if they can go 2-0 up by halftime it will be too much for England surely. The longer the game lingers the more it favours England with their bench. I actually like Oyarzabal to be honest, but I get your point that he's not as good a sub as...

    2024/25 Preseason

The kid Guille is already 6 foot 3 at 16, isn't he? Apparently he's the next big thing from La Masia yeah? Some saying he's an even bigger talent than Yamal. Midfielder, yeah? Edit, have him mixed up with someone else, he is 5 foot 7.

    Euro 2024

I still can't decide. On form and team cohesion, Spain should win by two goals or so. But finals are a toss up generally and there's some voodoo with England, as other posters have said. They have a few players who can punish ESP if they don't take their chances. I am still leaning Spain but I...

Big game tonight for this very talented player.

    Jadon Sancho

He has professionalism issues, but it also feels like his mental health issues have been legit, and the way Ten Hag hung him out to dry was appalling, as was Man United fans' turning on him. I don't think he is good enough, but he's still been harshly treated, even if he does himself no...

    Granit Xhaka

He was excellent in this tournament. He previously lacked maturity and a cool head, but football IQ, vision, and technique were never a problem for him. It will be interesting to see if he can maintain his level next season as he's no spring chicken (though the way he plays is very conducive to...

    Paulo Dybala

Shocking comment about Mourinho and implies a severe lack of knowledge of the game's history.
