So you're just playing devils advocate? If thats so then I'll backtrack.

Well in the end its a stereotype and locations arent automatically confirming a mindset. Most people in this forum arent from Catalunya and I dont think it makes everyone a couch merchant. But if the poster has these views AND is from Texas, well then the stereotype just fits.

Location: Texas. He is part of the latter crowd you are referencing here.

That's the ultimate arthouse movie plot here: - 12 clubs develope the Super League over 2 decades of planning. Perez dream. - A strange man with a hat and a trench coat enters the interview studio starring menacly at Perez - Finally all contracts are signed, ties with UEFA are broken. - The...

"It's unfair that we lose money while other lesser clubs make money in spite of us." "The kids these days say matches are too long, maybe we should shorten the length, I don't know."

He actually just showed a poll that he himself conducted to 5 nations asking if they support a super league. 72% of italians support it, 71% of french support it, 76% of spaniards support it, 59% of english support it, and 57% of germans support it. lmao..

He's excusing that by saying they're paying "solidarity payments" to the rest. Basically he wants to divert all the relevant income sources from the rest of Europe, and then pay out 10% of their new revenue back to them. Good guy Flo.

Perez Breakdown so far: "The major clubs of England, Spain and Italy have to give a solution to the bad situation that football is experiencing" "More competitive games will make everyone earn more money." "We came to the conclusion that by doing the Super League instead of the CL...

Given that you constantly bring up the BuLi as the counter example. The TV money in Germany factually HAS increased there gradually and the current TV deal is bigger than the one in La Liga. Until 10 years ago it wasnt. Despite the fact that Bayern is watched less than each of Barca and Madrid...

    European Super League

You already said that. I already replied to it. Reasons Bayern is rich is caused by decades of economic factors summarizing, even before TV money got introduced to football. You agreed. The league is all 20 clubs, not just the title race. Teams struggling with debt, financial turmoils...

    European Super League

It will not boom. Revenue sharing is the first step to domestic parity. TV rights alone cant make Spanish football competetive but for now 5-10m extra EVERY YEAR means every club can afford 1-2 extra decent player annually, less clubs suffer from forced relegations and teams struggle less to pay...

    European Super League

So TV contribution isnt the reason why BuLi is less competetive. Bayern was simply always procentually richer than the rest because income from other sources have accelerated higher than their competition. Yet TV money has not caused that, nor has it actually worsened it.

    European Super League

This is the same quote. He goes on ZDF, gets asked by an interviewer if the elite clubs could break away from the leagues and then leaks the plans that are already discussed by some clubs saying that "this might be our future". Still not a single ounce of approval in that sentence. Perez and...

    European Super League

PL is supposedly a "different situation" but you entirely disregard the fact that Bayern has already been is a richer club than everyone else before TV licensing was even a thing, just to paint that shitty narrative that its because TV money is shared equally. Let me guess. Your fix to...

That quote there literally suggests he was asked about the breakaway of top clubs and then simply spoke about a dystopian future scenario. Tweet on the other basically claims he suggested the idea.

5m is a starting player for almost every club you spoke about there. And again the PL isnt.

Or it would actually grow because people will see a competetive league and not just 3/4 clubs and 16 statists.
  18. Yannik

    European Super League

That is already happening. And its not just the top 6 there that poach from poor Spanish club, but all 20 clubs do it because they have their fair share from the TV pot.
  19. Yannik

    European Super League

There is no difference. Everyone is competing with each other there regardless of wether they all get 1bn or 1m from the pot. It's not rocket science. Giving 20 clubs 1m is causing a more competetive framework, than giving 1 club 19m and 19 clubs 1m in total.

    European Super League

PL with equal distribution is pretty much the MOST competetive so I dont think that arguments works very well..
