The ffp (not a bad thing in itself, regulations are needed) was the first attempt to cement the place of the elite clubs and minimize chances of an overhaul. The ESL is the step forward and it would happen with UEFA too.

What changes regarding the EPL growing? They'll have the most clubs in the super league and the competition won't stop all of a sudden. The EPL will still dominate with super league in CL's place. Nothing radical.

Word. And it's not superleague that brings doom and gloom. Big clubs are big earners and they set the rules. People forget Uefa proposed their own superleague lite only months ago. And they're out there preaching about small clubs making it. It's going to happen one way or another.

Unless Uefa tries to kick them out of national leagues, it's all futile. Like any player's gonna refuse a salary big clubs can offer.

Think folks are overreacting. Uefa's crying because they're out of the picture and lose their share of the cake. Not thrilled about it either nor I like these kinds of fixed, written in stone competitions... If they don't kick them out of national competitions, they can't stop it. Btw...
