I think Gundogan was about to extend his contract with Dortmund for few more years and obviously wants to stay. He wouldn't want to warm the bench anyways. Eriksen or Herrera are the best options from that list, IMO.

We should go for him if Thiago leaves. He seems like a good player and he's quite cheap. He could gain a lot of experience playing with Xavi, Iniesta and Messi. He may become a great player in few years. It's a shame he plays in a more attacking position than Xavi. He plays at Iniesta's position...
