What minutes should players who suffer an ACL play within the next 2 years after the injury?
His position is 1700 minutes is too much.
If anything it is probably less than most play.
What is relevance of Rodri? He played less than 8 months after his ACL and still not a year since injury.
Barca waited 11 months to play Gavi and in that month he played barely 10 minutes a game.
Rodri was back less than 8 months after his ACL by comparison.
20 full games across a season when back from ACL is not too much and most top players will have played more than that in a shorter time...
What is the relevance of Rodri?
Are you claiming 1700 minutes in a season a year after ACL is too much?
It is less than 20 full games across 8 months and for first month barely played 10 minutes in any game came on in.
What should the club be 'learning' from this how other clubs would act...
What is 'wrong'?
Players come back around a year after ACL..some slightly sooner some slightly later.
Gavi was not being relied upon last season he was a back up.
No idea what point you are trying to make.
First full season back players like Wirtz, VVD, Keane, Van Nistelrroy have been players of the years/team of the years etc.
It doesnt take two years then start from there.
They are saying his ACL is perfectly fine for now and not related.
Gavi has not been relied upon and his ACL injury was almost 2 years ago.
Barca have taken it slow or at least he hasnt played that much as wasnt good enough to until now. Either way the outcome is the same.
Out for 3-4 weeks without surgery apparently and they hope avoids need for operation.
Sounds familiar.. Barca do this... then player get operated on anyway.
Rodri will start over Zubi when fit.
At Euros they played more of a number 10 with Pedri off after an hour for most part and Olmo on.
Olmo cant play either of the midfield roles from last night really though so if they play like that his chances will reduce.
Formation has changed now...
Feels like Barca need to get to next international break without poor results and season proper starts from there.
So much noise and distraction round the team at moment.
Huijsen probably plays a part also at LCB.
How good he is on the ball they dont need two deeper players as much to help in build up.
Pedri can pick and choose when he drops to help Zubimendi from that LCM role.
On last nights performance possibly but they also lost to Portugal and were not great v the Dutch if putting any importance on nations league.
Teams who cant compete with their midfield will get demolished.. Turkey couldnt and got caught in a whirlwind trying to keep up.
The likes of Portugal...
Pedri was much deeper last night than he was in games lost to Portugal etc.
They are finding a role to get him more freedom to go and find the ball and help dictate.
Set up looked almost like Zubimendi DM, Pedri box to box to get on ball and Merino box to box to get on end of things and less...
Just think he could go to more stable side and get a longer contract probably.
Decent to try another league also maybe.
Broaden horizons and move back to Barca after retire if fancies that.
