Also, on your point about inspiration. When AI was injured, we suffered ,our dip in form. When he plays, it's a totally different dimension, all the players say this all the time, in interviews or whatever, that Iniesta is an incredible player and makes the attack work smoothly. He is an...

    Andrés Iniesta

The argument about assists made no sense. He does occasionaly assist, but his style of play allows him to totally open up a defense then pass it on to the forwards, who get the assist the majority of the time. He is not a midfielder like Xavi, who racks up assists because he sprays so many...

    Real Madrid (old thread)

Every major news source in Italy is now reporting that Cannavaro will leave madrid for Juventus this summer on a free transfer, not been officially confirmed yet of course.

What was Fifa's reason for not doing it again? Slow down the flow of the game, if i'm not mistaken, I don't think I agree with that cause it wouldn't take long at all, considering the relatively few number of times it'd actually be used. They have this system in Rugby and it works perfectly.

    9 - Samuel Eto'o

I was going to bring them up ... I know I kind of started this discussion crititcising him but to say he doesn't score crucial goals is wrong, he did it recently with that stunning lob at Valla.

    Daniel Alves

Maicon is the only RB that can challenge Dani for that title, forget Ramos.

    Andrés Iniesta

I have a feeling this is the season he finally comes out of the shadows. Not literally, dude's whiter than a cracka.

    9 - Samuel Eto'o

If he plays like he did tonight in the Everest run ahead, we're fucked. Stopped every dribble, missplaced so many passes, couldn't actually reach the goal then when he does (twice) he misses both. A one-on-one as well. I really think we need another striker to cover for Eto'o.

Come on guys, he can have a picture of whoever he wants as his avatar, who said it had to be Barca related? Mountains out of molehills people.

And to be honest, I enjoy Ronaldo's play, he can be amazing to watch, it's the fucking baggage that comes with it, it's unecessary and it detracts from his skill. But Messi-vs-Ronaldo is an argument that's been raging for a long time, and to us Cules, this will finally be the season that proves...

    Andrés Iniesta

The way he ghosts through defenses is amazing, his link-up play with Xavi is unnatural, like they're connected o.O

    Xavi Hernández

I loved it, thanks very much for posting man  Our midfield is exemplary. And to whoever asked why Xavi is "Clarinet", Jaum thinks he looks cool enough to be a jazz musician ... but my dad is a jazz musician and I can tell you that Xavi the Bassist is way cooler than Xavi the Clarinetist ;)

Couldn't have summed it up better myself  He won't ever fully be taken seriously til he helps us win silverwear, and I think it's this season.

    10 - Lionel Messi - v1

Can't see any reason not to. Even if (touch wood) United end up winning it Ronaldo has still been inferior this year, and who else will challenge him except Ribery, Torres or possibly Gerrard?

    Real Madrid (old thread)

Laurent Blanc is doing well with the Girondins, Ligue 1 looks a lot more dynamic this year. He could be a promising coach. Not that I wouldn't welcome back Schuster and Calderon  Not to mention the possibility of him aiding a move for Gourcouff, who is a real talent ... not sure if you'd...

    Thierry Henry

Remember that one where everyone expected Xavi to shoot, then he just laid it off down the left for Messi, next to the wall, who took the piss out of everyone and scored? Genius. All the opposition looked dumbfounded  Looking for a .gif of it online just now.

    Champions League

same  But Ed, the importance of Fabregas to Arsenal is way more than you're saying. Before Arshavin came along, whenever they lost Cesc they played badly. Now I agree with you on Arshavin being more important now because of his class, but Fabregas showed by his two awesome assists in one...
