Subbed, good. Now drive him out of the city.

No excuses now... I wouldn't be surprised if we play better from now on. One player less to dribble. Edit: See?

    Lliga | Round 35: FC Barcelona - Espanyol 1-0

Yeah, but it's also easier for Messi to dribble or Alba to play a cut back cross through a light defense. I would be more worried about their pressing against guys like Rakitic.

Bayern would give us way bigger spaces. They don't play to get a draw.

When Rakitic receives the ball while standing with bis back to the opponent's goal you can be sure that he will play a backpass. If he stands forwards you can be sure he will slowly play it on the other wing. There is zero creativity or surprise factor. He is the perfect clock for the opposing...

    Lliga | Round 35: FC Barcelona - Espanyol 1-0

I don't see that much that works tbh. 25 minutes in the game - 0-1 big chances against the last on the table - slow, predictable passing - most actions go through the crowded middle - everyone is searching for Messi - very few useful runs - a few crosses but noone in the box - dangerous...

Turtle midfield strikes again. Great save by Ter Stegen.

    Ansu Fati (loaned to Monaco)

He is only one goal short compared to Messi's first true season in 2005/06. Moreover, he has played less minutes and is more than a year younger than Messi was. And don't forget that Messi played for a CL winning side.

    Luis Suárez

His goal was actually a deflected shot, but I like that he wanted to score it with the first touch and didn't try to dribble. That's the only thing he is good for now.

    Quique Setien

I really like your positive thinking cules attitude guys but let's not get carried away on this one. Today's game was a good game but that was mostly due to the pressureless situation and the big spaces left by Villarreal who actually tried to win the game and were open to take risks in order...
