If he didn't make that save and it went to VAR the goal would have been given for them. It was onside. So great save.
Not that I agree but it's his first CL season. He will improve.

And he already made a couple before we conceded the goal. So stop expecting superhuman performances every game
We should first ask where the fuck was our RB on that one and why Raphinha who was apparently covering for him left Barnes all alone in that position

Certain people are desperate to see him fail so they can get points for stegen fanboyism
But as someone who has ter stegen on number.1 of his most hated Barca footballers ever, I can say if he delivered performances like this consistently in the CL I would never hate him as much as I do
Problem is he didn't. He delivered Liverpool. He delivered Bayern. Roma. Matches in which you can exactly point to his mistake and say he got it wrong here and did it multiple times. And took no responsibility for it. And didn't make any top saves to make up for it, unlike Garcia who saved us a goal in 1st half today - so even if you blame him for the goal, which is absolutely irrational, he is still on balance in this particural game.

I don't understand this concept truly. That is nostalgia thinking. Let's not Joan outshine Valdes/MATS or Lamine become greater than Messi.
I couldn't care less for those. I support the club and want to see it succeed.

Shaky first 10 minutes but after that typical Joan Garcia stuff. King in clearing the corners, being actively the fifth player in our backline and some important saves that most goalies wouldn't have made. He was even close to saving the goal, just unlucky bounce off him.
Even when he fucks up some goal he usually saves at least one sure goal. That didn't often happen with guys like Tek and Pena last year. There is massive difference how Joan handles 1v1s compared to Tek and with our playstyle we do give a lot of 1v1s to opponents, so it's important he can handle those situtations better than the average.

There was an easy shot/cross he dropped a rebound on and another situation where he had no idea where ball was and had to be saved by Cubarsi I believe, didn't see a replay on that so don't remember exactly what happened, only that Joan looked a little out of place.
But his performance for the rest of the game is evidence enough that he's able to shake that off and that he just needs some minutes to get into rhythm of the game.
