It's also out of self-interest. Atleti and Barca play Saturday, so they didn't want to put them there as well to divide the viewership on at least 2 days as usually done. Although Sunday afternoon would have been perfectly fine because they play Wednesday.

Viewership will be higher on the Sunday slot instead of Friday so it is not about self interest.

They should have had the Sunday slot.

By comparison we got the Sunday slot before Wednesdays early CL game against Newcastle (2nd leg).

Getafe will lose as usual, these guys always bend over to Real Madrid, no matter how bad Madrid can be and no matter how good Getafe can be at times.
