Should be forbidden to fast as a professional athlete who is a multi million Euro asset to a sporting institution. Ramadan could potentially also be in hot summer months. Even non-fasting professionals need water breaks during hot months. Now imagine a € 200M superstar asset not drinking anything at 30°C during a CL or WC final.
What a retarded take

Nothing to do with fasting guys. Anyone who tried intermittent fasting will tell you so.

It's another horrible match for him and Flick should have subbed him off earlier. He's not Messi FFS.

Intermittent fasting lets you drink water, whatever these guys are doing does not. It's a huge difference.

I do intermitten fasting too and I know it's not the optimal way to get ready for a football match. It's doable but it's much better when you eat something the day of the match.

This game was at 4pm which is about 10-11 hours since he last drank or ate anything (which was probably around 4-5am)

It definitely did have an impact on his brain and concentration, focus

He should be rested for Villarreal, we can do it without him

This forum descended into pure idiocy with these excuses.

So far this season:
He's not focusing because that midget rides him non-stop
He's 18
He got the clap from the midget aka pubalgia
He's 18
He's missing Pedri and Raphinha
He's 18
He was ill?(this one was vs Girona)
He's 18
He's fasting for Ramadan

Earning 20m/y, prioritizing personal reasons, no matter how questionable, that harm and contradict his job. This will be especially nice against Atletico and other hot games in March. That's how you do it today.
But I'm not blaming him, but Flick for starting him. I'm sure, Roony would have had a much bigger impact.

We are paying him more than enough to expect he'll be in top physical form every match. He's knowingly doing something that harms his performances.

Roony is probably fasting too anyway.

Did you ever drink and eat a ton before sport, especially professional sport? You throw up all of it again

But let's see how it'll turn out. His form is shit since a month to be honest.

Well it's not exactly right before the match

He can eat at 6pm and play the game at 9pm. He can eat sufficient to maintain normal energy levels

His form is shit since Atletico game. Before that he was arguably in best form of his career

Not a horrible game by any standards, just an average game

you are clueless if you think current Roony achieves a bigger impact than Yamal.
