He doesnt impact anything there as Frenkie cant touch the ball either and ball heading out box regardless.

Barca players encroaching also so not sure where rules on that lie really.

Players encroach all the time and only seems to get reffed if impacts a rebound or putting off the taker etc. That didnt happen here.

I do, it's retaken if the teammate encroaching scores from the rebound.

Pen should have been retaken.

It shouldnt have been.

Even if the Girona player touches it doesnt stop any chance for Barca player coming in to get attempt away.

Players encroaching is ignored unless has any impact is my understanding.

The ball was heading out the box regardless.

It doesn't work like that. If the encroaching opponent touchest the ball after rebound it is retaken.

It does work like that.

Just checked the rules.

a team-mate of the goalkeeper is penalised for encroachment only if:
  • the encroachment clearly impacted on the kicker; or
  • the encroaching player plays the ball or challenges an opponent for the ball and this prevents the opponents from scoring, attempting to score or creating a goal-scoring opportunity
Neither of the above happened.

2nd happened probably. Haven't seen the replay much, but Iturralde said it should have been retaken, and I tend to agree with him all the time almost.

He is factually wrong against the set out rules if claiming that as clearly states encroaching only taken into account if has material impact on the penalty or ability to score from rebound.

Interesting that he doesn't claim the entertainment is in England as well. Even he knows that the games are boring to watch. And that's inexcusable, when you have all the ' level and quality '.

When you buy all the best players and get all the best managers and the best you can serve up is Arsenal set pieces and time wasting, you are guilty of DESTROYING FOOTBALL.

Unfortunately that's spot on

Only thing that's not true is all quality is in England. In fact quality of an average EPL footballer today stinks. There are some very good footballers though, as in every top 5 league

What he didn't mention is how EPL is also probably the most boring top 5 league at the moment for watching. To sit and watch for 90 minutes, nothing is worse than EPL - except a couple games that happen now and then. And before you say Serie A, it's changed a lot this season. The big derbies have mostly been all spectacular games and there is a lot of competition for many positions so even lower sides can make it exciting. There is also Como and Atalanta who play very exciting football
