It's a disgrace that a team is allowed to play in the CL knockout stages with an astroturf pitch, there has to be some competitive standards regarding stadiums, it is clear that astro and real grass is completely different.

Bodo will likely lose by 3 or 4 goals in the return leg.

The turf and also low temperatures, their stadium is actually in the arctic circle or very close to it iirc. Conditions are just horrible which is why so many teams suffer vs Bodo

In 2nd leg everything is possible but I also think Inter will come back from this

Im from Bodø, and i do agree it do seem a bit unfair. Another point is that the norwegian league plays in spring/summer/fall so the team is well rested and no injuries. On the other side we did beat Athletico in Madrid… if we can beat them away, i guess we can beat Inter as well :)

Astroturf pitches are a massive gamechanger and it's ridiculous they are allowed, but don't let that take away from how beautiful Bodo played. Some of the one touch work on the edge of the box in tight spaces was a joy to watch.

That opening goal is best goal I've seen this week and rare to see such a beautiful teamwork goals these days.

Bodo can definitely pull this off. They can play. They've been the story of this UCL so far for me, along with Sporting and lesser extent Brugge, and not sure why more teams are not looking at Hauge at left wing who has been the standout.

Was thinking the same.
Bodo gains an illegitimate advantage by their pitch.
If you look at their home record in Europe since 2020 it's only a couple of draws and defeats, and all the rest is Ws.
Can't be coincidental, without taking away anything from their coach

After the 1st round, most favorites will progress

Only Gala against Juve (more likely), and Bodo against Inter are serious cases for upsets

Kinda like we have fewer upsets. I am sick and tired of underdogs that 'live their dream' only to spoil a serious QF or SF

Hauge already flopped at AC Milan, Frankfurt and made a last attempt at Gent, before heading back home to Bodø. Same story with many of their players. Even their best player, who is also very important for our national team, Berg, somehow managed to flop at Lens. Sell them for good money to teams abroad, buy them back for peanuts after a couple of seasons. Will definitely happen again after this CL campaign with other teams watching their players.

It’s cold as #$*£+ in Milan. What you on?
Bud and beer… i see now Marbella is a bit further south then milan…. Anyway, like 4-5 years ago glimt started doing training camps down in Marbella to have a better build up to the season in Norway. At the same time they did alot of training matches against local teams in Marbella to get game rythm. I think it payed off massively for them. Before that they did indoor sessions in Bodø, which is just not the same. This became news in Norway, and they came under scrutiny from other teams here. Some said Glimt was cheating since other clubs couldnt afford the same type of training camps abroad.
