It's been four games for Man United. They have played well, but Fulham were the better team against them (in the second half, I didn't watch the first half) and they have had some ridiculous decisions go in their favour too. They've played three of the four games at home. City and Tottenham are in awful form generally, and Arsenal do not convince me either, the level of the PL is mediocre - it didn't surprise me they beat Arsenal as I really think Arsenal are a flock of bottle merchants. Arsenal will win the league by default.

Plus United are playing one game a week. Next season they're likely to be in Europe and have many more problems. Also, Tottenham had so many players missing yesterday it's actually unbelievable, and Romero behaved like a moron and spoiled the game.

I am extremely confident it's another false dawn. Lots of teams go on small winning runs throughout a season and it doesn't mean anything. It's only Man United fans and the media in their desperation who cling to every positive subset of results like it's a turning point - other teams win five in a row (without the feel good factor of a new manager bounce) and know it's just a run of good form and remain grounded. Not this bunch, though.

Glad to see their fans are getting carried away again, though.

Anyone acting like this proves anything needs to get real. It's typical of the landscape of 2026 football to act like four games is some sort of amazing run of results, and exactly what puts me off football these days and makes me prefer films. These guys crowing about it now will have egg on their face soon but in the meantime they wull behave like arrogant 'I told you so' idiots. I don't mean anyone on here either - delancey has been pretty grounded. I mean people elsewhere rubbing it in.

New manager bounce implies vibes and of course vibes are good finally for United but only because they're playing good football now. Going from Ugarbage to Mainoo has to be one of the biggest upgrades mid season for any team.

Not denying they're playing well. Just saying sustaining it for seasons rather than four games is the hard part.

Even if they win every game til May I won't be convinced. Next season if Carrick is made permanent and with more games - and just the usual reset of a new season - everything could change.

Just saying they've been so bad for so long that they have no credit in the bank.
