The only way he ever takes the starting spot from Rapha is when Rapha is injured or needs rest. Rapha's work without the ball can't be compensated in Flick's system. It's no surprise, that most games we didn't win this season were without Rapha starting. Rapha is together with Pedri and Lamine irreplaceable.

Still very much effective but as few others noted, he will need to work a bit harder off the ball if he wants more chances from Flick.
