Isn't it that he constantly backs down and backpedals from any duels that he know he can't win, which is a lot? There a compilations of him backing down till his own goal line, because know he'd fuck up if went for challenge. Late Pique was also prominent with this 'technique'. Pools defense isn't all that this or previous seasons to be generous.

No one is saying he should get awards for this game.

Can't we appreciate a good bit of play in CL group stage games?

He has already won Man of the Match in a CL final before so this game hardly affects his legacy.
