Name one contemporary manager that has many wins against Barcelona other than Zidane?
And Zidane only got a good record because Barcelona imploded around 2018.

Pellegrini has 5 wins from 39
Valverde has 5 wins from 36
Emery has 3 wins from 30
Mourinho has 8 wins from 27
Mendillibar has 1 win from 28
Ancelotti has 10 wins from 26
Pochettino has 2 wins from 13
Wenger has 1 win from 11

Damn... end of an era. 2013-2014 season by Atletico will probably never be matched in my lifetime. Winning a league title and being a couple of minutes away from a league CL double vs Messi Barcelona and a great Madrid side.

The man in his prime (2011-16) was extremely special to say the least. He managed to neutralise us in 2014 and 2016 and reach 2 UCL finals in a span of 3 years. His 2013-14 side was very special and honestly they should've won the Champions League but Ramos managed to save the day for Real Madrid with that header. After 2016 though, I feel like he lost his touch, I mean Atletico was never the same afte the 2016 final in Milan. Honestly, Idk what happened to him but he declined big time, despite winning a Europa League and a LaLiga title in the 10 years after that final. Well it would be sad to see him go, definitely a legend of Spanish football.

Nobody came close to what he achieved with a B club. Atletico before simeone was a side we used to shit on by 4-6 goals at home. I remember a 4-0, a 6-1, and a 5-2 before Simeone came on in 2011.
He overstayed his welcome imo though. But a great great team, if a bit bland and defensive as a unit. Results matter only, to me.

His results were at least fair to the status of the club he managed. Nobody overachieves constantly.

People forget in Spain he had the greatest competition any manager has ever seen for a lot of his time at AM. Did you see anyone win titles in EPL other than Chelsea or United in mid 00s before City came with their petrodolars?

Imagine someone in EPL managing Tottenham or smth beating both Mourinho Chelsea and SAF United when both were top 4 in the world. Nobody did this.

Doubt that.

Define a B club first. Which clubs are those?

Mourinho's achievements with a D club like Porto is a lot more impressive and difficult than Simeone. Klopp at Dortmund with a much lower budget was better too. Dortmund were way better to watch and much more influential in modern Football.

Dortmund and Atletico are basically B clubs. I know of 2-3 stories of great underdog success at club level. Porto with Mou, Dortmund with Klopp, and Atletico with Simeone. Simeone stuck around. The other two used the B clubs as a career trampoline.

It's easy, which 4 clubs never belonged in a CL final in the last 20 years and were a totally odd participant. Porto, Dortmund, Atletico, and Tottenham. Porto was from a bygone era. Tottenham, pure fluke. So you're left with Klopp and Simeone.
