If Morocco Algeria play it could genuinely be the game of the century and if the final is Egypt Algeria we could see the Final of the Century Imo.

There have been zero upsets the whole tournament, no?

@khaled_a_d Hopefully tmrw Egypt win and reach semis again, how do you feel regarding this team, are you optimistic or do you expect a defeat like last AFCON, honestly I see that you guys improved a lot from the last AFCON, and I can see good mentality from the players despite the somewhat poor play at times.

We are playing with a fighting spirit, but we are very limited and Ivory Coast has one of the best squads in the tournament. They are behind only Morocco, slightly ahead of Senegal and Nigeria. They lack experience in attack as it is fairly brand new one, albeit arguably the most talented.

Egypt so far is strong in defense, which is usually our bread and butter, we have conceded one goal in the past 370 minutes that came from a bad pass from GK, then a lucky deflection that lead to last second save that rebounded to Benin player. Very unlucky goal. However we lost our starting (and solid defensively) LB for an ACL injury against Benin.

However, since our golden generation, Egypt lacks badly in midfield, especially in creating chances for attack or even controlling the game. They can be good defensively but lacks any creativity.

Last game Salah was essentially our no10, and this was by far the best attempt in getting some passes that actually creates anything. He was actually fairly good and Marmoush was a bit wasteful. This might be our best bet.

I would say it is 60% chance that Ivory Coast would beat us, they are just better

No surprises so far, the top 4 teams in Africa we discussed before the tournament made it to the final 4.

Inspired performance by Egypt honestly, they did very well and only small mistakes were the reason it was that close to begin with. Insha’Allah you guys repeat the same performance against Senegal and qualify to the final.

Also yesterday I forgot to say congratulations to @Total-Football for semi final. Insha’Allah Morocco lock in and reach their first final since 2004, it’s been far too long since they won it, imagine the likes of Zambia have won it more recently than you guys.

Indeed, Morocco can finally get their revenge on the biggest stage after the disappointments of 2017 and 2021 against Egypt

Great game from us, a little bit of silly mistakes on set pieces but otherwise perfect game. Marmoush had his best game with NT, while Salah is killing it in this right number 10 role. Emam finally stepped up for once.

I am still not that much of a believer especially against Senegal, however I've to remind you that 2017 and 2021 were our own revenge. We had 31 years without scoring a goal against them (1986-2017)
