His face did actually look surprised when it went in. Last touch wasn't his foot but rather his stomach/chest I think. Can't find the close up replay.

I don't doubt he is able to dink it cleanly but here there was clearly a bit of luck involved. Not that it matters either way. Good to see him score in tight games.

With anyone else, you'd think that goal was a fluke but wouldn't put it past RL9 with his technique that he actually flicked it over the defender to nudge it in intentionally.

Bergkamp esque.
Exactly, it seems like a simple situation: a cross-fielder. But just by looking at the camera from behind, you can see that a cross-fielder would have ended with the defender getting knocked out. Lewy decided to complicate matters a bit and scored. Torres wouldn't have scored that.

Nice goal and also useless goal, don't see the hype. Game was won. Still no chance Flick is gonna start him in big games

And we know his instincts and game intelligence are insane. It's what has kept him on this level when he lost all his physicality and a good chunk of his technique

thought that at first too but in the replays i didnt see the ball touching his stomach area, went directly with a great curve into the net i think

Look at his foot in the replay. He definitely tried to chip it. The chip wasn't accidental. He was just trying to ensure that it goes in with his follow up just in case.

Yes, he dinks the ball over defender, but also hits his belly on the way. Doesn't change much as it would end up in the net anyway.

He's obviously a great player over the length of his career, and occasionally puts in great performances for a 37 year old.

The trolls just make this thread unreadable. Not a single one of them posted anything about the much more impressive performance by Garcia while twerking like the potbelly scammers they are in this thread over a goal that wasn't even as good as Olmo's winner
