From what I noticed recently he has adopted the habit of taking on multiple defenders ALL THE TIME now. What made him special was his decision making at such a young age. At this moment he's heroballing non-stop. 7 times dispossessed, 4 unsuccessful touches, 1 pretty easy chance missed. I don't think he played that well considering we were 4-1 up at HT and cruising the match against rattled opponents.

Obviously I'm applying best player in the world / BDor standards. For any other 18 year old standards he is far above anyone else.

I think he was a little off today, as Sama said easily losing balls, some bad decisions. Although it's not a bad game overall

Perhaps it was the effect of new position. He didn't want to make many mistakes and had to invent something new to impact the game

I think we should definitely do Roony RW - Yamal AM more often, where they exchange positions like today

Obviously his finishing is still not world class. And other thing he needs is his right foot. He is lefty but he must be confident with his right the moment he uses it.

Both can improve with time and he has plenty ahead.

He’s doing fine. Lamine will always be instructed to keep doing what he does, even if unsuccessful. There is a reason for that.

Generally lamine mixes it up well. Very impressive for his age. Very intelligent

He plays great, considering his new role. 4 successful take ons, 2 big chance creates that should've been assists, 1 nice pen, playmaking from middle. It's normal when he attempts less take on because of his #10 role.

And his off ball movement as a 10 is class. Very natural.

Right. If more lucky he would have 1 or 2 assists this game from his passes alone. Maybe another goal if he is more serious with his shoot.

And maybe would have scored if he were more selfish. But then same people would criticize him for being selfish.

Very balanced and mature play.

I liked his defending,but as a 10, sometimes you need less skill moves or more efficient moves, that was my only real issue.
