Instead of fighting the establishment and trying to grind out a result against Barca, he's happily accepting defeat and waxing lyrical about them.

Defensive football makes sense only if you have no funds and want to push the team to its limits in terms of success. But when you spend so much money on players you should look to outplay Barça and win the game, play some great football

But with so much money you can also consider starting to play something new altogether. In fact you should have to consider doing that. Instead he spent 40m on Nico Gonzalez, just because he's Argentine

He plays good offensive football too, just not against barca. Every team has opponent which he cannot beat often and it is barca for him. Like it is bayern for us. I think he is the right manager for them, just too high on wages.
I am interested what happens when they spend american money (new investor) next season

Guy stopped belonging to the top tier already in 2016 or so, and it has been downhill since then.
Apart from the ugly football, he is simply below par anymore
He is the 5th highest-paid manager in the world (and top4 includes the likes of Inzaghi on Arab money, not only Europe), and he has delivered this trophy record the last 10 years:
only 1 title, and that by accident when both Barca and Madrid collapsed
