Lionel "The Greatest of All Time" Messi V2

He is way of playing is robotic. Doesn't mean he is bad. As I always said here you have a bit to play football to understand that. Football is not just numbers trophies and stats. There are the way you move the way you touch the ball. The way you control the ball.
Aha. Sounds just like you do not know much about Müller. Because his success for sure is not about his own numbers. For years it has been more to get Lewandowski and Robben to get good numbers with the way he plays. He is a team player - not an individualist like CR7 or Messi - that his numbers aren't that bad does not matter with that.

I did not say he is not team player. His football is efficient for sure but ugly to watch. It is like saying that Inzhagi is elegant as R9.
You can appreciate football without numbers that's the current problem.

I know it's probably been shared here before loads but I hadn't seen this video before.

Man, floods of tears about 5 minutes in! One of the powers of watching Messi videos is they take you back to times in your life, the good and the bad.
I remember one day I turned on ''Sky Sports XTRA'' (in Ireland) in 2005 and became addicted to Barcelona because of how Xavi played. Instantly watched every single game from 2005-2020 (I missed many during COVID unfortunately) and consider myself (as many here) to have been so lucky to live in this time where we saw Leo come through our academy, dominate club/international football and become the greatest player ever in the biggest sport in the world.

I can instinctively remember where I was for some of his biggest moments:
  1. Bayern 2015 (The Chip over Neuer): I was in my parents house watching with my father (who passed away since) and I just burst into tears. I remember Gary Neville/Martin Tyler just being blown away and just that 'feeling,' that you can't replicate. Only Messi could make you feel like that.
  2. Real Madrid 2011 (The run through the entire defence in the CL): I remember just being in total shock, like... Did he just run through the entire Real team? This Real team? It was like you couldn't believe it. You simply couldn't believe he was this good at fucking 24 years old.
  3. Bilbao 2015 (THAT Run through their team): First time in my life I ran around the house screaming like a fucking idiot. It was one of those, oh my god, oh my god, OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD!!!!! Again, it was a feeling I couldn't describe.

Then the match against France in the WC Final 2022.
It was like the culmination of a career; if he lost it would have been so sad, so unjust.

Once that penalty when in from Montiel, I fell to my knees and just cried like a fucking baby.
My girlfriend (who hates football) was in floods of tears.

That's what he did to us.
He was ours; he is still our little boy from Rosario.

What a pleasure to have been alive to witness him.

Not gonna lie, this has been one of the most enjoyable and fruitful side quests ever in football. Damn sight better and more exciting than if Messi went the Saudi route like the other guy.

The only thing we got robbed of seeing in this time line, was Riqui Puig and Messi not syncing up together at Inter Miami. At this level, that would have been some good shit @Iniesta Ultra
