It is good for them to not have to play this friendly game
Disagree.

Almada, Alvarez and Messi will probably be the front 3 and they haven't played much together and the synergy is not completely in sync.

Molina desperately needs game time as he's perma benched at ATM

Simeone still hasn't proven much for the national team besides that one game vs Brazil.

Maybe you are right. But I'm just glad when these pointless international breaks are over. The fewer players who play, the fewer injuries, the better.

Atletico was already privately owned before, so not much actually changes except that the new majority owner probably has much more money, and therefore Atletico is increasingly becoming a threat to Barca and Real in Spain. I see that as a positive.

Madrid will certainly be doing something similar soon, it's also happening all over the NFL, where teams definitely don't need the money lol, but it's just a smart way to spread risk.

When laporta eventually does something like 51/49, we already know the few who will complain & be completely wrong.

Unless someone after he wins does it, but it's likely inevitable.

Didn't Laporta say that fan ownership of the club is one of the most important things for him?
But real wants to do 51/49, like bayern i think, but the members must vote on it first.

Yea but 51/49 is a technical way to get around the fans owning the club issue.

Since they socios will still have the controlling stake

Yes and rejected any notion of 51% ownership... which many of us said would be the outcome regardless and Barca most likely be left in situation where pull levers and still do that in future anyway.

It was said to be one of the reasons board members left as they didnt agree with levers and did not agree with Laporta selling idea to fans that levers were needed to keep the club entirely fan owned.

LaLiga needs more finance. This is great news. Stronger Madrid's make Barca stronger, financially and on the playing field. Everyone needs to raise their standards. Competition is what makes teams great.

Yes, but new owners are Americans from my understanding, old owners were Spanish.

This is significant because the entire system is about protecting the league being more locally owned, rather than encouraging foreign investment.
