9 - Robert Lewandowski

Lewa last season and seemingly this season too proves how much this team would benefit from a proper striker. Because he is a proper striker, but his old age has taken too many things away from him

All he has is instincts and intelligence in the box, yet he scores a ridiculous number of goals. Imagine if he had speed, strength to bully CBs, great linkup play and so many more things that we can get in likes of, for example, Osimhen

With Ferran, we are simply doomed

I see nothing to suggest he's declined massively from last season.

He's simply been injured since the start of it in some form or another.

If we are debating whether, when he's fit, he's the pressing forward we need, that's a different issue. But whether he'll score goals once fully fit isn't a debate; he's already won us 6 important points with his ability to find the back of the net.

Fully fit, he's easily the best option at 9.

Nothing more to add

He still has his goal instincts, just needs more passes and crosses with age. Today was also the result of the team not ignoring him. Hope he'll continue like that.

After watching someone like Mbappe or Haaland it can be frustrating to watch him sometimes due to the slowness which comes with age but there is no denying he is still masterful at knowing where to be for the passes and finding the net. One of the goats with headers.

My take on his goals today:

1: Didn't pause before shooting. Needs to get back to his usual penalty routine where he stops before shooting. That made him the best penalty taker in the world.

2: The timing of that run was immaculate. The way he times his run based on the release of Rashford's pass and reads the trajectory of the ball was expert level.

3: His best goal today. Scoring that header from that angle and distance isn't easy. You have to glance it gently and direct it perfectly using the speed on the cross. Very few players in the world can pull that off.

some games he is better than feran. some he is worse. both are t good enough for next season so we have a big gap to fill.
Nice hattrick today, in his first start since injury. perhaps after the break things can turn around for us
