What bothers me is that he hasn't backed up his talk at all with trophies. Against France it works because most of them are beta baguettes, but it won't work against RM and PSG unless he plays lights out. He's acting like he has already won multiple CL's.

He's already won a domestic treble and euro while playing a major role in all of them. I don't get your point at all. All trophies are still at play this season.

The players he is disrespecting have won multiple CLs. He is starting to act like an idiot in an aggressive way, which is a whole different territory than what he did before. It's the difference between a sily teenager who you can just ignore and move past, and someone you want to smack. Be a professional. He is saying what he feels and what many know but are too afraid to say. This shit's been blown way out of proportion and taken out of context. If you knew Spanish you'd know the context of the whole conversation with Ibai and that it's all banter. They say that word all the time in SA when refs favor the other team and you don't see people crying over it.
