1 - Marc-Andre ter Stegen

Horatio

You're welcome
They told him now?
No. But I think club took a more firm stance in recent weeks. Something like, Joan Garcia is part of our future project versus you will have to compete with him.

Anyway, don’t steal my thunder.

I was one of first to say Flick is capable of dropping his ass and he might get replaced.
Some people never saw it happening cause of their Germany NT past.

Doubt that. Was always obvious Mats had no future here with new GK signing. If it wasn't for his injury they would've pushed for him to leave in summer.

And your last sentence. Uhh, Flick had no trust in ter Stegen while managing Germany. Them both being German and having worked together was only a disadvantage for Mats' future at the club.

Yes, I know. But something might have changed in the communication.
Cause it definitely isn’t him thinking he isn’t good enough as you suggest.

Oh my…20-20 after the fact hindsight.

So I can go back and find posts of you along those lines? Mine are there.

But I never imagined him
leaving in winter break if that happens.
That is a tricky move for keepers.

I don't know if I said it, probably not as I didn't follow German NT that closely. But there are many others who said early that Flick and Mats relationship was never the best. It's not something revolutionizing to claim now that Flick was going to ship Mats.

Flick is not blind, no German managers were so they never played MATS, that was only the virtue of the Barca's amateurs on the bench. I'll let LE slide because MATS was still young back then and he didn't even really want him as an undisputed #1 anyway. There is no excuse why Valverde, Setien, Koeman and Xavi went on with this shit in goal.

That is absolute nonsense.

Xavi won a league with MATS as one of his best players and MATS was more than worth his place under those other coaches.

German managers had Neur, wasn't ever a difficult decision.
Lucho didn't want him.
Valerde who knows.
Setien didn't have the balls or power. Ter was a veteran by then
Koeman and xavi had other priorities. Gk was least of their worries.

Sure, CL didn't exist in this decade. MATS should be gone after Roma and Liverpool or at least after the 8-2, no excuse that didn't happen. The right time was under Valverde when we still had enough money and MATS was in his prime CL terrorism.

Lucho did want him. Played him in CL and chose him ahead of Bravo.

Indeed he dropped to often in CL like they all did.

The 8-2 there is not a GK in world ever that would have prevented and absolute hammering that day.

MATS won Xavi his league as player of year in Spain.

German managers had Neur, wasn't ever a difficult decision. - Even if they wanted, they couldn't boot Neuer. The man is a living legend. Nobody dared to confront him.
Lucho didn't want him. - Debatable. Pep wanted him so Lucho finally stopped with the rotation charade and sold Bravo.
Valerde who knows. - Wasn't the kind of manager to rock the boat anyway.
Setien didn't have the balls or power. Ter was a veteran by then - Setien was a nobody.
Koeman and xavi had other priorities. Gk was least of their worries. - True on the priorities part(due to financial restrains), but he did win us a league under Xavi. So don't think Xavi had anything against Stegen.
