Flick is not blind, no German managers were so they never played MATS, that was only the virtue of the Barca's amateurs on the bench. I'll let LE slide because MATS was still young back then and he didn't even really want him as an undisputed #1 anyway. There is no excuse why Valverde, Setien, Koeman and Xavi went on with this shit in goal.

Xavi won a league with MATS as one of his best players and MATS was more than worth his place under those other coaches.

Sure, CL didn't exist in this decade. MATS should be gone after Roma and Liverpool or at least after the 8-2, no excuse that didn't happen. The right time was under Valverde when we still had enough money and MATS was in his prime CL terrorism.
