The worry is that England are now in that phase that Argentina were in around 2020. And they got a damn good manager too.

With Big Orange heading the US, the WC there and England backing the Zions through hell or high water, I wouldn't at all be surprised if they got all the help they need to get their WC.

Spanish. But I guess that qualifies as looking Welsh judging by half of their rugby team.

I was in England the time that they knocked us out of the Euro 96. Bunch of dodgy decisions too.

But what really pissed me off. Is that they won the game and the fuckin hooligans still burned the Spanish flags at the local Spanish restaurant.

The hate probably stems from there :lol:

I am surprised man - you talk and have the patter and language of a Brit. Are you half Spanish half British? It makes sense though that a Barca fan would come from Spain.

Obviously you don't have to say if you don't wanna reveal personal details. I don't want you to doxx yourself lol.

Some people think Ecuador might this time but I think it's a step too far.

As Porque says you get your South Koreas, Ghanas, Moroccos, Bulgarias, Swedens who go far. But when they get to the semis they cannot take the last step to the main game.

Maybe the closest would be Croatia. I considered them a very strong team, but they were still ultimately a small nation and not a football superpower. Got to a final 9though got pumped) and two semis despise only being formed in the 90s. Very impressive.

Belgium should have won the 2018 WC. They had a ridiculous squad and France got lucky in the Belgium game where the Reds were the better team iirc.

They had Prime Hazard (the actual best player over 90 minutes in that WC) and KDB and people like Mertens, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Lukaku, Witsel in their absolute peaks.

They also had the greatest plan B option Fellaini who was incredible at being a plan B targetman in the box in clutch moments.
