Well @khaled_a_d could probably tell us more about Egypt's.

Half of youth teams are son of former footballers, businessmen, generals etc. Nepotism to the core. Academies business are thriving as many new cities (and we build dozens of those) has playgrounds and coaches use it as pay for being trained.

The good news is there is now plenty of young Egyptians in Europe, and we are tring to tie them like Morocco does.

I'm gonna go full @Birdy.

Marvelous application of the challenge call technology just now.

Brazil just challenged asking for a penalty against Cuenca. And it looked a penalty foul to me.

BUT, in the action leading up to the cross for the foul, the VAR spotted a foul by the Brazilian winger and thus no penalty given, but a freekick to Spain.

Damn. If they implement this well, it's gonna make the games exciting.

Morocco and Egypt are rising football countries. At all levels they are doing better and better. Great development!

Reminder that if you don't want to watch Scunthorpe or any of the other Womens matches tonight, that Spain vs Ukraine opens up the KO stage at 21CET.

Not watched yet so far but might start now with QFs upcoming in two days. Spain vs Colombia and Argentina vs Mexico should both be good games.

meanwhile Brazilian NT football really seems to be struggling lately.

“It's the first time in history that Brazil has been eliminated in the group stage of a U-20 World Cup,” headlined Globo Esporte, while UOL called the campaign “the worst in history.”

I watched Spain Ukraine and Spain look to be getting into the groove of things.

Argentina seem the best side in the tournament so far.
