So what is the club’s total debt?
Without looking and in addition to the Espai Barca project, it will be close to 3 billion I assume. But that doesn't matter, the biggest companies in the world have all huge debts, because debts have many upsides in the business.

The important part is a healthy structure with positive ordinary results, ideally without the net-debt and even more important is the short-term / long-term aspect of it. That's what Laporta is reducing year after year so far without Barca losing competitiveness in today's football world, that is inflated by oil and other outside money, which isn't an easy thing to do.

Yeah, it "doesn't matter". Just so happens Barca are by far most in debt cub in the world.
Reality of struggling to register players is irrelevant too.

Laporta "saved" nothing. Barto fucking things up doesn't make Laporta saviour.

You think that way, because you don't understand how debts work and don't differentiate between them. Laporta "saved" nothing is a lie, either based on malicious intent to keep attacking Laporta or out of ignorance.

When Laporta took over, barca's wages made up 103% of the ordinary income. That means they paid more for salaries than the entire income of the club. Laporta reduced it to 53% now, he practically halved the wage cost. These figures were absolutely insane and the club couldn't pay them anymore, which is why levers and renegotiation were necessary. The club was practially bankrupt without the ability to pay salaries without the levers.
This is all open information, you just have to read through it. But it's easier to just blame everybody with half-truths and ignorance, I know.

“Our salaries represent 103% of the club’s total income. That’s 20% to 25% more than our competitors. We have found ourselves in a difficult situation to renegotiate the players’ contracts.”
