Schlotterbeck had a meniscus tear...we will see if he can regain his form. Regarding Upamecano, no tnx. However, I agree that a CB together with a full back an No.9 is a must next summer.

He just returned and had a dominant performance, but you're right. Upamecano has improved after being error prone.

Defenders from Germany makes sense considering how end to end football there is. They have to cover an insane amount of space.

I think it is likely Ferran + a project or a veteran.
I doubt money would allow us to think big, it will be the dream, but I can't live another "hopeful " summer that ends with another austerity.

I don't even know. A guy like Diego Forlan would be worth 150 million nowadays. The market for strikers is trash. Why has the standard of individual talent dropped so much?

Can we please stop with these converting the players to strikers debates? Just because someone is scoring enough as an AM or a winger doesn't mean he will also do that when he will be expected to be the main source of goals.

False 9 just doesn't work today anymore unless you have one special player who can score a ton (we don't) or 6-7 players able to score in double digits like City had before they've signed Haaland.

Yeah I agree with you. It's a totally different style of play despite being in the same third of the pitch. I just gave an example on Rashford in Raphinha's thread.

Don't put square pegs in round holes. Probably better to have a worse player in his natural position than try to play a better player out of his comfort zone.

Atm would rip Barca apart financially if they were to sell him here. I don't even think they have such kind of money to splash on a single player.
