Why his last game? Surely he will play many more friendlies and stuff, why would he not, he is still very good. If washed Ronaldo can play for Portugal why can't Messi for Argentina lol.

That wasn't his last game for Argentina, but IN Argentina. Because that was their last official home game before the WC and he'll end his NT career after it.

I sincerely hope he doesn't contemplate to quit the NT just 9 months before the World Cup? He needs to finish his NT career on the big stage, he deserves that. There is still one Finalissima and one World Cup left to play!!!
